Hallelujah Acres, the God's Farm - Shelby, North Carolina

Is the Hallelujah Acres the reason of my stay at Shelby? A small town, with 30 thousand population at the east of Appalachian mountains range is charming. Nothing special differs it from other, similar little towns of this part of American South. Yet another conservative, overconfident small town with its gossip, politics, circles of mutual admiration or mutual disapproval. Typical of this region very fatty and unhealthy food. Everywhere cigarette fag ends, and their source - smokers. There is also a source of sulfur water where people come from far away, even from Florida. Those drinking this water say that it helps control rheumatic diseases and other conditions. One Catholic church, and infinite number of other churches, mainly Baptist. This is a country of this profession. Here, Hallelujah Acres leads its activity, with the leading idea of "Return to the Garden. Health Science from the Perspective of The Bible".

George H. Malkmus, PhD, the Minister of the Baptist Church, is a founder of the program: "Why the Christians Get Ill?" and "The Divine Path to Full Health". Rev. Malkmus is a lector, and his lectures are attended all over the world. These lectures and teaching are based on information contained in The Bible. There are hints concerning nutrition, as well as health. Rev. Malkmus brings an idea of return to the garden of The Bible with its simple style of life and eating. The life God originally created for us, life in peace and happiness, free from stress and diseases.

For almost two thousand years Christianity has been preoccupied mainly with matters of the soul and its salvation. The words about importance of the body, as a vehicle for the soul roaming through the earth, although frequently repeated, were neglected. Also, frequently mentioned hints about health care, missed peoples attention. Knowledge on what, how and when should we eat also haven't come to us from this source.

Our fatty, prefabricated diet is very unhealthy. Our sitting lifestyle is also unhealthy. Our knowledge on the healthy lifestyle doesn't come from any of Holy Books. We have more and more degenerative diseases. They attack us at younger and younger age. We don't have efficient methods of curing them. We take a lot of tablets, knowing that each of them brings additional, sometimes harmful side effects. These drugs though don't cure a source of the disease. They are aimed mainly at reducing symptoms, not at removing their source.

Diet proposed by Hallelujah Acres which in many, many cases allowed free from serious conditions like cancer tumors, breast cancer, as well as many degenerative diseases is currently at the stage of research. At first this research was conducted on Fibromyaglia, the disease of chronic fatigue, psychological depression and pains hard to explain. Because this diet doesn't bring any harmful side effects, and increases energy and health, like in the case of Rev. Malkmus himself, it is by him widely recommended.

This is a diet, worked out in detail, containing mostly fresh vegetables, carrot juice, barley sprouts, as well as fruits. Only 20% of food can be cooked and eaten during a dinner meal. These are rice, groats, beans, potatoes, etc. One should drink only distilled water between meals.

Rev. Malkmus carefully explains, why we should avoid meat and animal fats which contain hormones and antibiotics. Why one should avoid cheese, cow milk, white sugar and white flour, caffeine, salt and other inorganic minerals. Only "live" food is healthy like a carrot which when planted in soil will grow and be green.

Bible quotations clearly indicate the proposed diet, as well as our conscience of our life on this Earth in good health, happiness and mutual love are real and possible for us to consider.
